What is a Lattice Fence?

Beitzell Fence has been a trusted fencing provider in the Northern Virginia area for over 30 years, and one of our favorite products that often gets overlooked by our customers is lattice fences. While aluminum fences, chain link fences, vinyl fences, and our other products are great for homes and businesses that want a combination of safety and style, we encourage you to consider a lattice fence as well.

Lattice Fences can be made with a variety of materials, including wood, vinyl, plastic, or metal. Thin slats of this material are crossed and fastened together, with spaces in the shape of squares or diamonds in between the slats. This is one of the most versatile and classic forms of fencing, so it can serve many different purposes.

In addition to acting as a barrier that promotes the privacy and safety of an outdoor area, lattice fences can also be a great decoration. If you plant vines or other greenery at the bottom of the structure, the plants will eventually grow to cover the fence, increasing your privacy and the aesthetic appeal of the space. If a vine-covered fence does not appeal to you, you can keep it empty or add flower beds.

Why Purchase a Lattice Fence?

Numerous factors make lattice fences the most appealing option to many of our customers. Lattice fences will never go out of style, and since they are highly customizable and versatile, you can make them look just how you want and get them to serve nearly any purpose. Additionally, because less material is used to make lattice fences than some of our other fencing options, the price of a lattice fence is often more affordable.

How to Customize Your Lattice Fence

Because you can choose the material of your lattice fence, there are many different options for what it will look and feel like. The color, level of stability, and thickness of slat are all up to you. In addition to choosing the material of the fence, you can also easily customize the height and length. All lattice fences are constructed in the same way, so if you decide you want to switch from a diamond to a square lattice, or vice versa, you can easily turn the panel to change the design.

If you like the look of lattice fences but do not want your entire fence to consist of this crisscross pattern, another option is to attach panels of lattice fencing to an existing fence. People also commonly use lattice fencing panels under raised homes, decks, or porches. It is a great multi-purpose option for any area you want to enclose.

If you think that a lattice fence is the best option for you, or even if you would prefer one of our other many fencing options, then we would be happy to help you get this structure designed and installed.
